WHAT MAKES LOW SERIAL NUMBERS VALUABLE?
Currency collectors highly prize bills with low serial numbers, especially those under 100. These “fancy serial numbers” can be worth far more than their face value. Serial numbers like #20, #1, or other low numbers are particularly sought after.
- Serial numbers under 100 are considered extremely rare and valuable
- Solid serial numbers (like 77777777) also command premiums
- Binary bills (only two digits repeating) are collector favorites
- Star notes with low serial numbers are even more valuable
